Dear Sir,
Has anyone else reported the constant boom/banging noise coming from north of Aycliffe somewhere?
We live in the Woodham area and are used to occasional clay pigeon shooting etc, but this booming has been going on for weeks now.
It generally starts around 6:30 in the morning and then randomly occurs well into the early evening.
There is no pattern to it at all, sometimes just once, sometimes 3 or 4 in a row. It sounds exactly like a shotgun but maybe its a quarry or something.
It would be nice to know what it is and to find out why it needs to be 7 days a week at unsociable hours. Thought it could be farmers scaring birds but in 6 inches of snow?
