After an excellent 2017 season, ending with a piano recital by Noriko Ogawa (pictured), the 2018 Bishop Auckland Music Society season begins on April 6th with a concert by two world class musicians:

Alina Ibragimova (violin) accompanied by Cedric Tiberghien (piano). Both of these performers are highly rated and have performed separately in this year’s Proms.

They will be followed, on May 18th, by the charming and very exciting sax player Jess Gillam, a finalist in this year’s BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition.

On July 13th a concert will be given by the Boquhan Trio (flute, violin and piano).

The final concert, on September 7th, will be a recital by the acclaimed pianist Clare Hammond.
