Dear Sir, I am contacting you with an update of the amazing UK Pageant finals. I was featured on the front page for being a finalist in the biggest pageant in the UK ‘Galaxy Pageants’, which was held last weekend! I am so proud to announce that, I, Kayleigh Atkinson, won the title, Mrs Galaxy UK, meaning I will be flying to the USA to represent the UK. The international finals will be held in Orlando in August 2019! I am from Newton Aycliffe and aged 27. I have been interested in pageants for a few years now and wanted to recreate the definition of a ‘beauty pageant’. I truly believe that beauty comes from within and that’s what makes us shine. I am unique in the pageant world because I am Curvy! I am beating stereotypes and promoting body confidence. As part of my journey I have raised over £2000 for charities, I have travelled to Morocco to volunteer in a baby orphanage, I have featured on BBC radio as most inspirational woman and I launched my online campaign to be confident in your own skin which has been a massive hit. I have created a campaign as part of my pageant journey ‘every-BODY is beautiful’ and hope to inspire more young woman and men that it’s OK to love yourself for who you are. In today’s society we are faced with social media! A world of filters and body shaping apps. The reality is this is creating negative self image and poor mental health in today’s society. My campaign will continue for the year I am your Mrs Galaxy UK Queen and I am excited to launch my Body Confidence project in all the local schools! I am excited for the opportunities ahead, any sponsorship in terms of financial or products will be considered in return for advertisement and I am also looking to attend any local events or charity events as a guest.
