Phil Wilson visited St Joseph’s School Council members on Thursday as a follow up after the KS2 members saw him in the Houses of Parliament in May.
He had a tour of the school first with the Head boy and girl then met all the school council members. They shared their photos of the day and spoke about what they enjoyed on their visit. Sitting in the Houses of Commons and Lords was a favourite of the children as well as visiting 10 Downing Street.
Phil said “Having met with some of the children whilst they were on their trip to London, it was great to visit them back in Newton Aycliffe to find out more about how their trip went, and to see some of their pictures’ It was brilliant to see them so enthused about their recent visit to Westminster. It is fantastic when children, of all ages, take such an interest in Parliament.’
