Newton Aycliffe based road racer Daley Mathison is someone you may not have heard of, but his racing achievements are second no none in what can only be described as one of the toughest, exciting and most dangerous sports on earth. 26yr old Daley has been in the sport since the age of 12 competing in many events including the famous Isle of Man TT of which he has been on the podium twice in the past couple of years and Olivers Mount Scarborough where wins and podiums have been many. In 2017 Daley had a TT average lap speed of 128 mph over 37.37 miles, that’s one lap, the race is six. He also put in a 130mph lap in Ireland which is truly remarkable. His success and list of wins is as long as any man’s arm.

The family run, and supported team are what make this racer one of the best in the country. His sponsors include Eddie Stobart, Dunlop, Mclennan Group, AST, to name a few. Daley’s wife Natalie and daughter Daisy are always there to cheer him along with his Mam, Dad, and team mechanics when and wherever he competes. At the moment Daley’s lease for his workshop has come to an end and he is urgently looking for other suitable premises on the Aycliffe Business Park as Daley still has two events to compete this month. When Daley is not racing he does technical work on motorbikes improving handling etc. Please contact Daley on 07853 335991 if you can help find him a new workshop of around 500 square feet.
