Dear Sir,
May I say how disgusted I was to see the new seating in the town centre being used as an obstacle course for bikes and skate boards, and it had only been officially open for 24 hours – where is the CCTV? Or the community police?
On Saturday night after the opening of the newly refurbished town centre, youths were using the seating as a platform to jump and skid across.
A few people on facebook think it`s ok for them to do this as the excuse is “there is nowhere else  for them to play anymore.” Have they forgotten there is a  park for this sort of thing near Tesco, or the new bike track at Woodham? Just because the park may be  locked at night does not mean the town centre can be used as a playground .
Where is the respect for property by young people? I wonder if their parents know what they are doing on a night time. I ask all young people with bikes to use the town centre by all means, but not on your bikes! One day you may be a boring old fart like me and will probably complain about the same matters we do when you are adults.
