In December Greenfield Arts were pleased to host a second launch for the biography of County Durham Mining Artist Tom Lamb, written by Peter Norton. Dr Norton organised an exhibition of Miners’ Art at Greenfield Arts in 2013, which included a range of Tom’s work, and we were pleased to welcome them both back to Greenfield Arts.
The book focuses on a mining theme, covering Tom’s life and work as a miner and artist in County Durham, where he has lived his whole life. It was great to spend a couple of hours with Tom last Wednesday reminiscing and talking about the book, alongside other fantastic local mining artists including Bill Hindmarsh and Derek Slater.
