Sugar Hill Pupils participating in the Remembrance Parade on Sunday 11th November were supported by their families and staff members to demonstrate their ultimate respect for all our fallen heroes and to active members of our armed services. This year Sugar Hill Mini-Police and Sugar Hill Rota-Kids marched with Mrs Legge (Deputy Head), Mrs Snaith and Mrs Dowson. Mrs Pickersgill from Newton Aycliffe Rotary Club marched with the newly established Rota Kids group. Mrs Legge commented, ‘I was immensely proud not only of Mini-Police and Rota Kids but also to see other Sugar Hill pupils marching, representing other groups they attend, out of school hours. Many more Sugar Hill pupils attended the event with their family members. There was a real sense of community at this event. Community is everything to us at Sugar Hill. The next generation growing up with the right values is central to all we do. Many thanks to Durham Police and the Rotary Club for providing community opportunities to our pupils”.
