Vehicles travelling above the 30mph speed limit through Middridge had better be on their guard as the Middridge PACT group, with the support of our PCSO Michael Hutchinson, are setting up random community traffic surveillance sessions.
Our first session took place on Wednesday 20th May using the  speed gun which has been recently issued to Durham Police Force, and a mobile speed matrix. It was amazing to see how the hundreds of vehicles we tracked, significantly slowed down when they realised they were being monitored. We hope the message will get through to everyone to SLOW DOWN THROUGH OUR VILLAGE.
