We are informed by a reader that there is no need for our Town Council to approach Middridge to ask them to agree with the boundary change for Eldon Whins.
Middridge wanted rid of it in 20011 recognising the proposed housing development on that site would quadruple the village population. They agreed it made sense to offload the site to Newton Aycliffe but obviously did not tell anyone of their decision.
This proves the point that local parish councils should be talking to each other and our Town Council’s wish to have a closer relationship would be beneficial.
