Congratulations to Caprice Roller Skating Club who celebrated various wins at a recent National Tyne Tees Skating Competition at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre on 12th and 13th July.
The wins include the club’s Coaches, Lisa Firbank and Kay Taylor, receiving a Trophy and Gold for their Duo Dance with Kay Taylor also winning First Place for her Solo Dance.
Other achievements were, Victoria Hanley, Silver medal for Combined event (includes figures, solo dance and free dance) and Leah Toms, who received a Bronze Medal for the same combined event but also received Bronze Medal for her Solo dance.  This is the first time the girls entered such an event.  Little Hannah Anderson, aged just 6, won Bronze Medal for her Novelty dance (Ugly Duckling) and John Parlour with Andrea Vasey winning Bronze Medal for the  Couples dance.
A  Silver medal was won by the whole Caprice RSC Club for their end of competition show, “We Will Rock You!”.  Anyone interested in Artistic Roller Skating can come along to the club at Sunnydale Leisure Centre, Shildon on Saturdays from 2.30 pm. £3 per hour (beginners usually for the first hour). The next session is 2nd August.
