A team of Woodham Academy’s talented students have taken part in the final of a regional mathematics competition.
The four students travelled to Durham to take part in the regional final of the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Team Challenge.
Angel Woods, Charlie Pemberton, Ava Thomas, and Ryan Griffiths completed four rounds of challenges, testing their mathematical dexterity, teamwork and communication skills.
Woodham Academy mathematics teacher Sophie Elliott said: “This was a truly challenging competition, featuring some of the best young mathematicians from across the North East. Congratulations to Angel, Ava, Charlie, and Ryan, who did themselves, and their school, proud.”
Woodham Academy’s team finished the final in the top half of all the schools competing, and each team member received a UKMT certificate in recognition of their achievement.
