For the last 6 years M.A.D Productions have put on a spectacular show in aid of local North East charities.  They have raised thousands for The Blue Lamp Foundation, Help for Heroes, Hope for Justice, NE Air Ambulance, GACAP and Xcel Local.  This year was no different; back for the 7th year with a fantastic show, M.A.D Community Choir presented ‘Country Roads’ an evening of sing-along country sounds in aid of Macmillan and Cancer Research.  The event was held at the Xcel Centre,
The M.A.D Choir would like to express thanks to the Xcel Centre and the Pastors for allowing us to use the hall free of charge and the Xcel singers and dancers for supporting the choir.  We would like to express our gratitude to Macmillan Cancer, Cherryl and Andrew Chester for organising and supporting the event.
We thank The Mayor Councillor Mary Dalton and her consort Michael Dalton; David Sutton-Lloyd; the committee and staff of Woodham Community Centre for making us feel at home every week; Newton News for supporting the choir at all our events; the businesses who gave generously to our raffle and tombola; the sound and media technicians, Kevin Lodge,  Callum Ridley, Lee Johnson and Dean Sanderson.
We raised an amazing £1800+ on the night and this is still increasing and we would like thank everyone who came along to support us.
