The Macmillan Coffee Morning at the Pioneering Care Centre on 28th September was very well attended with 183 people coming through to browse the stalls and relax with a cuppa.

The morning raised more than £268 for Macmillan Cancer Support, who are based in the Pioneering Care Centre.

In addition to refreshments sold in the Mall Coffee Shop within the Centre, there were stalls selling jewellery, cards, knitted products, homemade cakes, crafts and other items.

Jane Hartley PCP Chief Executive said: “Thanks to all who made cakes and donated goods and helped to make the event such a success”.

“We are so pleased to have the Macmillan information and support centre as tenants of the Pioneering Care Centre as it offers a wide range of information on all aspects of cancer from prevention to care and is available for anyone who has been affected by cancer, patients, relatives and friends. Every penny raised at the coffee morning will help fund more services for people affected by cancer.”

PCP are holding another Craft & Gift Fair on Saturday 1st December, 10am-1pm. If anyone wants a stall please get in touch, otherwise, pop the date in your diary and come along with family and friends for a Festive Fun Day Out.
