Health and wellbeing, Charity Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) is offering a range of activities that can help you build your skills and improve your confidence and wellbeing as we move into Spring:

Growing Guru’s
Tuesday’s 5.15-6.15pm
Aimed at supporting children aged 5-11 years old this ongoing course, which you can dip in and out of at anytime, supports children to learn tools to enable them to self-soothe, relax and overcome stress and anxiety. Giving children lifelong skills that will support their wellbeing and help them maintain a positive outlook in times of difficulty throughout their life. Cost £4 per session

Introduction to Mindfulness
Starts Tuesday 3 March for 5 weeks, 6.00-8.45pm
Want to master the skills to support your wellbeing? This course will take you on a journey through useful techniques, to help you to relax and manage your emotions and reactions in stressful situations. This course is free, however you will need your National Insurance number and proof of residency.

Walk Leader
Training Monday 2 March 6.00-8.45pm
Love to walk? Enjoy meeting new people? Want to volunteer in a role that enables you to do both? Walk Durham is looking for Volunteer Walk Leaders. Understanding How to Manage Stress and Anxiety
Starts Tuesday 21 April for 5 weeks, 6.00-8.45pm
Understand the causes and symptoms of stress and learn how to deal with stressful events and support others who are suffering with stress. This course is free, however you will need your National Insurance number and proof of residency.

Easter Crafts
Starts Tuesday 17 March for 3 weeks, 1.30-4.30pm
Learn how to make fantastic personalised Easter gifts for your family and friends. This course is for adults and is free, however you will need your National Insurance number and proof of residency.

Cycling for Beginners
Monday’s 10.00-12.00 noon
Peddle your way to fitness, while enjoying the changing seasons. Meet new people and build up your confidence. These sessions are free and bikes and cycle helmets are provided.

Computers for the Terrified
Starts Thursday 27 February, 1.00-3.00pm for 5 weeks.
This easy to follow course will introduce you to using a computer, enjoy the advantages of getting online and using the internet. Free to anyone on a means tested benefit.
