Description of Activities: We meet every 4-6 weeks but this changes so that all members can attend at some point. Venue is Tree Tops Children’s Occupational Therapy Limited, Eldon Road, Aycliffe Business Park, DL5 6UL, times change for each meeting.

Our group offers support, advice, networking, meetings, education and strategies for children with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). All our children have either ASD, DCD (Dyspraxia), ADHD or SPD. The Sensory Processing Disorder Parent Support Group was launched in October 2015 with the help of Tree Tops Occupational Therapy after it was felt there was no support group for parents in the North East of England for this clinical condition. We are affiliated with the Sensory Processing Foundation in the USA and like them, hope to improve the lives of our children through education and global awareness of SPD. Meetings are held every 4-6 weeks where parents and carers can get together, have a chat , look at resources available, and listen to guest speakers. Why not join us and come along to one of meetings where you will be most welcome.

Please Note: SPD Parent Connection groups are run by parent volunteers. Parents share their personal experiences related to SPD. All comments or advice are the opinions of parents and are not recommendations endorsed by the SPD Foundation. Advice of a medical professional should be sought for diagnosis and treatment.
