Local funeral directors, John Meynell Funeral Service, 148/150 North Road, Darlington are collecting Easter Eggs and chocolate goodies for local nursing and care homes.

Staff at John Meynell are asking local businesses, community groups and residents to donate Easter Eggs so that they can bring a smile to the faces of the elderly residents this Easter.

John Meynell Funeral Service is part of Dignity who launched the Easter Egg Challenge in 2002.

Funeral Manager, Amanda Conway, said: “We hope that the local community will support us and help to make Easter an enjoyable time for the elderly residents. Last year Dignity staff collected thousands of Easter Eggs for good causes across the country and we would like to have the opportunity to do the same in our area.”
