Hall Garth’s Food and Beverage Manager Walid Shennib, whose daughter attends the school, co-ordinated the visit.
Up to their arms in fresh healthy fruit and vegetables,  the children prepared their own Italian Caprese and fresh fruit salads, not before first having fun trying to identify ingredients from basil to lolla rosso lettuce.
Chef Karl said he was really impressed with the knowledge that the children showed in identifying fruits and vegetables saying “when I was a kid, I wouldn’t have been able to identify many of the items that were put in front of me, yet these youngsters, had an impressive knowledge for their ages”.
The children had a thoroughly enjoyable after-noon creating their own healthy salad combinations.
