I was really dissapointed after visiting Homeplan recently to purchase a few items and wood.
I don’t live near Newton Aycliffe, but I do try to support the town, and Homeplan is a shop I use regularly as it’s not often you get the friendly service that they offer.
I was in the shop six minutes, came out of the shop to find I had a £70 parking ticket.Worse still I couldn’t find the warden anywhere.
Why have a loading bay outside a shop and then when you’re loading you get a ticket?
I was told I may have been too long, I waited in a queue, I discussed what I wanted, paid for it and he went to get it, I was observed for 5 minutes and when I came back to my car a taxi driver told me the warden had scurried off down the road.
Certainly puts you off shopping in Newton Aycliffe.
