Livin has applied to the County Council for permission to build new houses on the former Oak Tree Inn site on Gilpin Road next to Neville Community Centre. Livin’s proposed development is for nine new houses and it is intended that five houses will be shared ownership and four houses will be affordable rent to buy. The layout comprises of six semi detached houses and a terrace of three houses – all three bedroom. These two storey houses are designed to be in similar scale to the surrounding area to make the development feel like an inclusive part of the neighbourhood. It is hoped that works commence around October 2017, subject to planning permission and will be carried out by Livin’s development partner Tolent Ltd.
