With the help of a donation from Honest John, Little ACORNS visited the Gala Theatre in Durham to see the panto Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood. Did they have a great evening? Oh yes they did! As usual it was a brilliant show and thanks to J&C coaches for providing transport.
Big thanks also to our friends, Councillors Kate Hopper and Eddie Adam for donations towards transport costs to the Mini Moos Adventure Farm.
ACORN are currently organizing an outing to South Lakeland Zoo in February and such is the demand for these trips that a second bus has been hired.
Once again ACORN have been successful in securing funding from the National Lottery “Awards for All scheme”  to replicate all of 2013 events, so if you enjoyed our activities last year watch out for 2014’s events including the popular Easter Petting Zoo and Easter Egg Hunt.
ACORN incorporating little ACORNs and Neighbourhood Watch meet monthly at the Royal British Legion Club and welcome anyone with an interest in community involvement to make our area and town the best place to live and work in the world.
ACORN motto : Having fun while getting things done.
