Thanks to funding from the Great Aycliffe and Middridge Partnership local young people have the opportunity to produce, direct, act and premier their own movies. The Creative Routes project received over £4,000 towards the cost of producing 4 short films over the school summer holiday period.

Young people will have the chance to work alongside a professional film maker and drama facilitator to create their feature films, they will also organise a short film festival where members of the local community can go along to view the work.

More activities as part of this project will take place from 23rd to 25th July at Woodham Community Technology College and 30th July to 1st August based at Greenfield Community and Arts Centre.

“This is a great opportunity for local young people to get involved in creating and showcasing their films” says film maker Ben Race.
