Bethany House Nursing Home has developed a Knit-Natter-Link & Lace group, they meet regularly and residents, friends, staff and volunteers all enjoy the group.

A friend and regular visitor kindly presented a Knitting Demonstration for beginners and is always ready to help those who have dropped stitches or need any help.

We have all been knitting baby blankets, hats and booties for the Neonatal Unit at Durham University Hospital.

On Thursday 25th April two residents and staff visited the Baby Unit and delivered the blankets.

We then received a beautiful “Thank You” from the hospital, which is proudly displayed in the entrance of the nursing home for all to see.

On behalf of the activities team may I say a big “Thank You” to everyone who has donated wool, knitting needles and their time for this great cause.

Please keep those needles clicking!
