Housing and regeneration specialist, Keepmoat, who are currently building homes at Cobblers Hall, continue to grow its presence in the North East by acquiring three new sites that will lead to an investment of £34m in the region.
Land in Stockton will be used to build 174 new homes 144 for sale and 30 affordable homes for Tristar Homes. The £18m project will be part of a regeneration partnership initiative involving Stockton Borough Council and the HCA. Work started on site in January and the first homes will be ready to occupy in late spring.
Through Durham Villages Regeneration Company, Keepmoat’s joint venture with Durham County Council,they will be building 81 new homes in Sherburn Hill – 80 for sale and 5 affordable homes for Isos Housing. Work has started on site in the last few weeks and the local community will be able to view the show homes in July.
The site of the former St Stephen’s School in Longbenton is set to be developed with 41 new dwellings, 31 for sale and 10 affordable homes for Isos Housing. The scheme, which is the latest purchase by Keepmoat from the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle, is worth £5m. Works to demolish the former school have now started and the first homes will be completed in early summer.
