Who would have thought that fifteen years ago an idea that was discussed by best friends would emerge into one of the best Dog Day Care and Training Centres in the area, which has now been awarded a five star rating (the highest award possible under the new DEFRA legislation)?

An idea that was three years in the making, finding premises and putting together a business plan that would get backing from the local council and professionals eventually became a reality on 1st March 2006.

A large 4000 square foot unit with indoor and outdoor facilities was secured and the adventure began.

Gill and Andi have a long list of experience and qualifications including teaching and training in further education (teaching equine and animal care); dog training and behaviour; canine nutrition and rehabilitation of rescue dogs.

Gill and Andi spent six years demonstrating with their own dogs at Crufts, the biggest dog show in the world, in the main arena. They are representatives of Heelwork to Music in the Northern Interregional team and spend time working with schools, colleges and universities promoting responsible dog ownership and supporting students studying canine behaviour.

The couple have organised community projects in the local area, including visits to schools, nurseries and nursing homes and are Kennel Club registered instructors, judges and examiners. All this and more has ensured that dogs get the best possible care and training in an environment that is now a five-star establishment.
