Aycliffe Juniors exploits on the football pitch continued over another exciting weekend of action. There has also been some great team fundraising this week with the Under 7’s packing bags at Aycliffe Tesco and making £650. The Under 6’s and 10’s have both undertaken sponsored walks to raise funds for their teams.

The Under 8’s travelled to play Hartlepool FC with only five available players. They put in a committed effort but lost out 10-4. Dylan scored two first half goals with Zeke and Oliver netting in the second half. Kenyon was the games man of the match.

Under 9’s played at Sunnydale against Billingham United they played some great passing football in attack and also defended superbly. There were two goals each for man of the match Harry, Kai and Josh T with Ashton also scoring in a 7-0 win.

Under 10’s ‘Black’ were at home playing Stockton Rangers but conceded four goals in each half and lost the game 8-0 against a good visiting team. Emrehan was the man of the match.

Under 10’s ‘White’ travelled to local rivals Bishop Auckland Kings for an early kick off in cold conditions. It was a great game with both sides playing high quality football. Bishop won the game 2-1, Jayden scored the Aycliffe goal and Niall was the man of the match.

Under 12 TJFA league team faced Leven at home, Liam and Will scored two goals each in the first half. Leven got two back though with well taken free kicks and the score was 4-2 at the break. In the second half it was difficult to break down the hard working visitors but as the game came to an end Charlie and Lucas combined well to set up Will to complete his hat trick in a 5-2 win.

Under 12 Russell Foster league team played away at Cleveland Hall who play a division above them in a League Cup game. A strong effort was not enough to prevent a 7-1 loss. Goal scorer Charlie was the man of the match.

Under 13’s we’re away at second placed 21st All Stars Jets. It was a much improved performance after a disappointing game last week and they pushed their strong hosts all the way but narrowly lost out 3-2.

Under 16’s played at home against Darlington RA Locomotives but also lost out by the odd goal in five.

Under 23’s played at home against Wolviston and lost a close game by two goals to one.
