In true British tradition the Pioneering Care Partnership is hosting a summer garden party to celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee. A community get together for all ages, wear your regal best and enjoy a complimentary cream tea on arrival.
Hosted at the Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe, the Jubilee garden celebrations will start at 12 noon on Tuesday 31 May. An entertainment bill, fit for a Royal occasion, will keep everyone entertained throughout the afternoon.
A children’s costume competition for the little ones. Who will take home the crown?
There will be music and dance with Vintage Singer Yvonne Slater, a live choir and a performance from an Irish dancing school. Plenty of outdoor activity with gardening, donkey rides, a petting zoo and interactive games. For those looking to get creative, local artist and illustrator Liz Million will be hosting a craft session.
And, as no party is complete without food and drink, refreshments from PCP’s Garden Kitchen Coffee Shop will be available, along with mocktail making sessions from our wellbeing for life team.
Carol Gaskarth, Chief Executive of PCP, said: “PCP was proud to be awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service which recognised the work the charity does to improve the health and wellbeing of local people.
“The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate everything that is good about communities and bring people together, so we wanted to host our very own garden party with a difference! We’ll have a range of fun activities suitable for all, so please come along and enjoy this free event with us in the build-up to the Jubilee weekend. We look forward to welcoming you and hopefully the weather will be kind!”
This is free event for all the community, no bookings or tickets required.
