Have you or has anyone in your family been affected cancer?  If the answer is Yes, then we are here to support you. In 1988 I lost my Dad to Cancer. He was only 40 years old. Once I myself reached 40 it hit me quite hard as I had been informed that I would be at a higher risk. I contacted the group and joined in December 2015 and I was immediately welcomed with open arms and I have never looked back since and became the group Secretary in February. If you would like the same warm welcome along with the help and support that you need then come along and join us. Our meetings are the 1st Thursday of each month except for January and August. The meetings are held at the Youth Centre in Newton Aycliffe (Opposite Tesco) at 6pm until 7.30pm. Enjoy a cuppa and a chat with our other members in a friendly and relaxed environment. Each meeting consists of guest speakers that have information that might be helpful. We have regular social events, meals out and day trips. Along with our sponsors we do our own fundraising. If you are interested and would like some more information please do not hesitate to contact Allison White on 077622589696 or email allisonwhite75@yahoo.co.uk or myself, Sharon Parkinson on 07944187877. There is no need to worry about transport as we provide a free local bus service which picks up in Newton Aycliffe, Bishop Auckland, Darlington and other surrounding areas. We hope to welcome some new members soon.
