Spectrum skater Jazzmyn Loring, aged 8, attended a training session with top skaters at Walsall this weekend.

The skating star who gained bronze at British Championships went along to gain knowledge and expertise from three previous British Champions Chris Fox, Paul McIlhone and Neil Emms.

The 25 skaters taking part from all over the country learnt about fitness, posture and technique which is hoped to support their development for further national and international skating. The day consisted of 8 hours of on and off skates training.

Jazzmyn was congratulated by the coaches for her focus and ability. Her coach at Spectrum Roller Skating Club, based at Shildon Sunnydale Leisure Centre said, “Jazzmyn has the right mind set, attitude and self motivation. She is an asset to the club and shows great aptitude for the sport.”
