Last month an event was held at the Newton Aycliffe Working Men’s Club to raise funds to purchase a “Terrier Trike” for Jack Mason.
Initially the family was refused funding to provide the specially adapted trike, so family member Jean Miller with friends Leanne Nevison and Jenny Gray organised the special fund raising night with Claire Wingfield, a local singer with a fantastic voice, and Paul Gittins, the best DJ in the North East, as well as donations for raffle prizes and publicity through Newton News, the target was surpassed.
