Year 8 maths students at Greenfield Community College have been working with their Maths teacher Ms A. Hender to explore data about their school. Analysing data to show how happy students are in school, the students inspired and commissioned artist Vicky Holbrough to design and make Greenfield’s latest piece of art called CAPTURE which was installed and celebrated on Tuesday 29th January.

Headteacher, David Priestley said “It is so exciting to see how numbers, data, maths and statistics can be so inspirational. The latest data for our school shows high levels of satisfaction and high academic performance alongside strong attendance”. The art work has pride of place in the main school hall it uses over 1,300 dip dyed cable ties attached to a three dimensional grid to form an eye catching visual representation of the data.
