Newton Aycliffe, Husqvarna is doing its bit for charity and has adopted St Teresa’s Hospice in Darlington as its charity for 2016 and recently held an Easter Egg Raffle to support St Teresa’s Hospice.
Employees donated Easter Eggs, Champagne, Chocolates etc and raffle tickets were sold prior to the event and on the day, even the Easter Bunny showed up to help ! Scott Marshall, Project & Appeals Fundraiser at the hospice came along and drew the raffle tickets for the event and an amazing amount of £1000 was raised!

Over the last few months Husqvarna Aycliffe have carried out various events including a Cake Bake Day and a Christmas Jumper Day and together with the Easter Egg Raffle, a fantastic amount of £2895 has been raised for St Teresa’s Hospice so far.
This is a fantastic effort from all employees at Husqvarna who will be holding lots more events to raise money for the St Teresa’s Hospice.
The Husqvarna Group is the world’s largest producer of lawnmowers, chainsaws and tractors and incorporates the brands, Husqvarna, Flymo, McCulloch and Gardena.
The company’s modern manufacturing facility at Newton Aycliffe, manufactures product types including the Automower, which is new generation robotic lawnmower. The company has a core workforce of approximately 300 employees and recruits approximately 600 temporary employees during its peak production period of January until May.
