This week we have admitted a further three hedgehogs, two of which are babies, Elsa, Betsy and Matty, a young 800g male. They make our total number up to twenty between myself and Tara, all are going to be here in rescue till April/May next year.

Matty, being so folically challenged won’t be able to protect himself from predators, or the extreme weather, he will take a long time to get well too.

We would like to thank Pat for his rescue and also Angie for finding Betsy, Peter and Partner for Elsa.

Rest assured we will always try to keep in touch with finders and also, if we can’t take anymore in, we will ask our finders to ring BHPS for rehabbers who can. Can we thank all our regular supporters, Tom and Jane, Karen, Sonya and Jane and Marian at Tesco, your kind gestures are appreciated because providing food, housing, bedding and medical care doesn’t come cheap and while this rescue centre is small. We work hard to keep them alive and well. Also June called last week with a monetary donation as well as food with some lovely bowls for our prickly pals.

Weekly tip: Keep putting food outside for our wildlife, some don’t hibernate and if they do, they wake up periodically to eat.
