From all of us at ‘Footprints In The Community’ a big Thank You to Helen Gosnay and the Spar Shop in Heighington along with the Insolvency Service in Newcastle who have supported the Foodbank.org.

“Helen made a large donation of food which will help a lot of people who are struggling with food poverty this Christmas. With all these extra donations we are able to make a difference at this difficult time of the year to the people who need it most.

Some people are faced with large bills and have to make a choice as to whether to eat, or heat their homes, and have the added extra issue of Christmas, where often people will go without food to buy family presents. We are so grateful for all the help and support we have received” said, Helen Hedges.

Heighington Spar Owner ‘Peter’ said, “I would also like to say a big Thank You to our kind hearted customers who donated so much for this great cause. Our customers are loyal to us and are always happy to help out on any charity initiatives”.
