The first night of our Autumn session was a presentation given by Pat Chambers who is Charity Development Manager for the Darlington & Bishop Auckland MRI Scanner Appeal.
We were very interested to hear that the scanner had been delivered to Darlington Hospital and that everything was working well – the only big effort that was left to do now, was to raise by the 20th December 2018, £280,000.
We completed the evening with Mrs Griffiths (President), presenting Pat with a cheque from the Homemakers for £350 and a further £87.31 was raised during the evening.
