Heighington under 7’s have had great results in the last two weeks keeping up their unbeaten start to the season.

hey beating Barnard Castle 2-0 and 3-0 in the performances of the season with goals from Kyleo and Alex and a hat trick in the second game from Maddix. They also made it to the QF of the Challenge Cup with victories over Boro Rangers, Thornaby of 8-3 and 5-0 with goals from Kenzi (5) Kyleo (3) Tyler (3) Archie (1) and Louie (1) with his first goal for the club.

Heighington AFC Boys under 8’s played their first ever match on Saturday 4th, their debut in the Russell Foster Youth League. They played against Pass Soccer Greens, narrowly losing 7-5. Two goals each for Ellis Hendrix and Harry Irvine and 1 for Oliver Ward. Great match and unlucky to lose after a late rally. Some excellent defending by Ollie Anderson, making it hard for anyone to get a sight on goal. With a lot of trickery and skillful runs and hard work by Joshua Hill and Edward Stokes, made this a quality first match. Can only get better and they look like a very promising team.

The entry into the league was made possible by an extremely generous sponsorship from ‘Hair We Go’ on Dalton Way, Newton Aycliffe. We would like to send a massive thank you from all the lads in the team, the parents, club and myself for helping make this possible.

We are still looking for a couple of extra players to add to this fantastic group of lads. If you would like to find out more contact manager John Anderson on 07507 281020.
