Under 8’s Heighington travelled to All star Colts in their penultimate friendly before the season starts. The first game saw Heighington run out 2-0 winners thanks to two goals from the returning Man of The Match Theo Callaghan.
The second game saw the boys go 2-0 and 3-1 behind but managed to bring it back and finish 3-3. The goals were scored by Jay Bulch with 2 from captain and man of the match Joe Neild.
The third game ended 1-1, where again Heighington fell behind but showed fantastic character to level the scores. A wonderful piece of skill and a through ball by Harry Surman set man of the match Tyler Woodward racing clear to smash home the equaliser. Three great games again from the boys, and they now face 21st All Stars on Sunday before the league starts the following week
