BHF Newton Aycliffe Shop is urgently appealing to local residents to search through their wardrobes and scour their homes for any unwanted, good quality clothing, handbags, shoes, books, DVDs, CDs and household goods – all of which will help the charity fight heart disease, which remains the UK’s single biggest killer.

Last year BHF Shops raised over £31 million for the nation’s heart charity, helping thousands of vulnerable heart patients across the country. Donations, which are vital to the charity, are desperately needed. There’s something for everyone who has time to help.

Martin Newton, Area Manager says: “We absolutely rely on the support of the local community for both stock donations and volunteering hours. If each household were willing to spend just half an hour having a clear out and donating to their local BHF Shop, they would be helping to save lives, it really is as simple as that. Please help us beat heart disease together and donate your unwanted items to your local BHF Shop.”
