Students and staff are finding ways to share their experiences during ‘lockdown’, not only are they finding innovative ways to study but they are exploring clever ways to keep fit and share their healthy selfies with others.

It has been inspiring to see the many ways that students and staff are coming together to share great ideas with others, from exercise regimes to getting your five-a-day in this healthy house competition.

We got to see Callum making slow cooked chilli and rice; Thomas exercising on the beach Dylan on his impressive bike rides; Stan playing tennis; Mrs Hackett ‘putting the miles in’; amazing hand balancing from Lana and Megan’s acrobatics in the sea! Just a few of the many brilliant posts shared on the greenfield twitter page.

The competition has been running over the last few weeks and has also coincided with Mental Health Awareness Week (18 – 24 May). From simple walking to hitting the weights it is known that exercise can help reduce stress and release endorphins that can improve your mood, for many of us in isolation it can be a time to be inspired by others and be part of a bigger community.

The results are now in with River gaining 155 points, Mountain 125 points and Forest and Lake joint third on 50 points. A big well done to all involved, you can see all of the healthy selfies @greenfieldtweet.
