Izzy Walsh never had short hair and only ever had a trim, but she recently decided to get her hair cut off to shoulder length so that she can donate it to the Little Princess Trust who help provide wigs for children and other young people who have lost hair due to illness and cancer treatment.

She was inspired to do this as a girl at her brother’s school, has a brain tumour and has lost most of her hair. This made Izzy realise how lucky she was to have hair and how we all take our hair for granted so she wanted to be able to help others who are less fortunate.

Izzy had her hair cut on the 28th April at Ruffles Hair Salon.

She’s in Year 5 and 10 years old – attending Aycliffe Village Primary School and has an older brother, Sam, who is 12 years old.

Both children have fund raised before – last year they raised funds for SANDS, the still birth charity, in memory of their older brother who was still born. They wanted to raise money and awareness and is something they are both passionate about. Both children adopt the Tesco motto of ‘Every Little Helps’!
