The fabulous Mens Cree group at Greenfield Arts have again been recognised for their contribution to the community as part of Volunteers Week, a national initiative to recognise and celebrate the value of volunteering.  As part of the celebrations by Durham Community Action, the Cree Group have been invited to attend a presentation evening at Beamish Museum where they will be given the opportunity to explore the museum’s town and enjoy refreshments in the historic tea rooms.

The group meet at Greenfield Arts on a weekly basis where they volunteer their time to help both themselves and the community as they participate in useful and creative projects which in turn have a positive effect on their own well-being.  They are presently working on building a ‘shed’ for the PCP at Newton Aycliffe and have recently been working on wonderful ‘little libraries’ which are popping up around the region. Richard Agar who leads the sessions is thrilled with the invitation and the recognition the group are receiving for their hard work.  The Cree Men meet at Greenfield Arts every Monday from 10.30 am – 12.30 pm, if you would like to know a little bit more about the group please give our friendly team a call on 01325 379 048 or email  info@greenfield-arts.co.uk
