Students at Greenfield Community College are continuing to achieve whilst studying at home, taking advantage of the many learning resources that are being made available to them. Not only are they going the extra mile in their academic learning but they are also being inspired to keep fit and healthy.

Students and their families have been sharing some inspiring images of their time outdoors walking and staying active. The benefits of exercise are well documented and getting active can have benefits on physical and mental health. Extra tips and advice have been shared during Children’s Mental Health Week and staff have been showing how exercise can build confidence and reduce stress levels; sharing valuable support and advice for wellbeing throughout the year.

Staff are also busy launching the ‘100’ club which will put together some tips and challenges on how to stay active, allowing students to share images and form an active community. A great way to be healthy and keep in touch with others. The initiative is inspired by and commemorates Captain Sir Tom Moore, recognising the way he brought people together in his support for the NHS.
