Students from Greenfield Community College have been busy off-site performing at community events. Members of the Greenfield choir were recently involved in the annual Rotary Christmas Carol Concert where they sang a wonderful rendition of ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’ to an enthusiastic audience. The choir was led by music specialist Mr Gomez-Gill who not only coached the students but also accompanied them on guitar. The concert was a great success bringing schools together for this special event in the season’s calendar.
The group of singers were subsequently invited to perform at Rose Lodge Care Home where they entertained the residents and were given the opportunity to be an integral part of the community. Greenfield Community College is a Specialist Arts and Science School and consistently encourages and supports students to be creative, express themselves and their ideas and share this work by participating in public local and regional events as part of their education.
