Students at Greenfield Community College were thrilled to see the return of the annual Durham Brass Festival. This year Greenfield students took to the stage themselves by providing their own dance performance as part of the Big Brass Bash at Timothy Hackworth Park, Shildon. Subject specialist Ali Dixon was proud of the way the students performed as they showcased their talents with a specially choreographed piece for the event. Northern Monkey Brass Band provided a lively accompaniment and help create a buzz around the park for everyone to enjoy.

The Durham Brass Festival has brought its special brand of lively entertainment to the area and once again Greenfield Arts were delighted to be involved by bringing a live performance to the school. Musicians from Northern Monkey Brass Band delivered a workshop to a mixed age dance class in preparation for the their special performance.

Katy Milne, Director of Arts and Creativity “We love being part of Durham Brass Festival and have been involved for many years. The dancers and band brought life to the park”
