Students from Greenfield Community College are preparing for their future and are supported in many ways to reach their full potential. Greenfield students have also had the benefit of a valuable careers programme and the school have a strong relationship with colleges, organisations and industry. The programme has included arranged visits to local colleges for those who wish to further their education and personal interviews with college staff are arranged on-site to help students make the best possible choices.

Students have also had the opportunity to work alongside mentors as part of the Future First initiative which encourages alumni to support current students and help them choose their next steps. The programme gives a unique insight into professional roles and a range of employment opportunities. The mentor scheme has been inspirational for Greenfield students.

Greenfield is committed to offering the best careers advice and was one of only 13 secondary schools in the country to pilot the Gatsby Benchmark Scheme which is now provided to all secondary schools as best practice. The scheme addresses the career needs of every student and the importance of workplace connections, apprenticeships and market changes, highlighting the importance of STEAM subjects and tailoring the needs of each student.
