Last week Connor Thompson, a year 7 student from Greenfield Community College went to Harrogate College to cook for Famous Chef James Martin as part of the ‘Make it with Mince 2013’ competition.
This is a competition we run yearly at Greenfield Community College in partnership with Red Tractor Lamb and Beef mince. Pupils explore and investigate popular recipes and put their own twist on classics.
Connor’s dish of ‘Dan Dan Noodles’ won the school heats and he went to the Regional Finals in hope to win. Unfortunately Connor did not get through to the Nationals but had a fantastic opportunity to meet James and show off his culinary skills. Well done Connor!
