Students from Greenfield Community College excelled in a range of sports and activities recently as they attended the Secondary School Olympics held at Oak Leaf Sports Complex.
The event, which was organised by SSP (Sedgefield School Sport Partnership) was a great success attracting secondary schools from the area to compete in this popular event.  Greenfield were well represented with a total of 57 students taking part showing a great team spirit throughout the day.  The team competed in a range of events such as Dance, Boccia, Table Tennis, Wheelchair Basketball, Mountain Biking, Football, Handball and Athletics achieving brilliant results.
Subject Specialist, Ellie Butterworth was full of praise for the team, “The students were a credit to the school and demonstrated the Olympic values throughout the day.  We had great success across many sports.”  Medal winners included: Silver for Dance and Bronze for Table Tennis, Boccia, Handball and Girls Football.  A big thanks to all the students involved and to SSP for their commitment and organisation to such a great event.
