17th February, 2016 was Random Act of Kindness Day and relatives, residents and staff from Defoe Court Care Home donated items to the local Food Banks in Newton Aycliffe and Shildon Alive. Ernie Temple (right) collected items on behalf of the community in Newton Aycliffe. Everyone agreed that they would like to support the community again later in the year with further acts of kindness.
