On 24th March Kim Chung Do Kwan held the first of their 2016 grades. Matthew Thompson, who trains at the new club based in Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre with Master Hannah, was promoted to red belt and will now begin his black belt training programme. Promoted to yellow belt were Blake Etherington, Jennie Etherington and Ryan Griffiths, who also train with Master Hannah at the Faverdale club.
The Best of Grade award was presented to Katelyn Davidson of the Dolphin Centre Club, for an excellent performance in her first grading. The evening consisted of an opening demonstration, a video round up of our 2015 adventures and a presentation of certificates. The most important part of the evening was the grading itself. With 5 students from Aycliffe and Darlington taking to the floor in order to upgrade.
Congratulations to all those who were graded. Keep up the hard work. Also big thanks to everyone who helped in the organisation of the evening, it wouldn’t have been possible without you.
