Girlguiding Newton Aycliffe Division would like to thank absolutely everyone who made our Fundraising Concerts such a huge success. Members of all our Rainbow, Brownie and Guide Units took part over two nights at Neville Parade Methodist Church and St. Clare’s Church Hall.
Girls aged 5-25 entertained capacity audiences with songs from films and shows, including “Let it Go” (Frozen), “When I grow up” (Matilda), “Everything is awesome” (The LEGO Movie) and “Dancing Queen” (Mamma Mia).
There was an opportunity for audience participation in the second half and each night was rounded off with a selection of Guiding camp songs closing with “Brownie Bells”.
We would also like to specially thank Claire Carlton (Leader with 6th Newton Aycliffe Brownies) for organising our Prize Raffle, drawn on the Monday night, and our generous sponsors who provided the prizes: Woodham Golf & Leisure Ltd, Redworth Hall Hotel, Gregg Little Testing Centre, Woodham Golf & Country Club, Bay Horse Middridge, Bengal Lounge, Ruff n Tumble, TESCO and Spennymoor Ladies Boxing.  We raised a grand total of £314.00 which will be used to offer our members even more opportunities.  Congratulations to all our winners.
